www.freerice.com
If you want to do a good deed and build your vocabulary, you've come to the right place. Other sites give away charitable donations for little more than a mouse click, but FreeRice makes you earn them. The site challenges you with word quizzes and pledges to donate 10 grains of rice to the U.N. World Food Programme for each definition you get right. (The words get harder the longer you play.) To do more, check out the Hunger Site, which donates to relief agencies Mercy Corps and America's Second Harvest in exchange for your visit.

Hi, I just thought I would update both you and your readers that currently, because of economy hard times, Free Rice can only donate 10 grains of rice per correct answer.
ReplyDeleteIt is explained here under the heading "Why has the number of grains donated for each correct answer changed from 10 grains to 20 and then back to 10?" - http://www.freerice.com/faq.html
Have fun playing!
Thank you for your correction. Still ok, we can study also power of ten.
